INSTALLED - G-FORCE COMP-2 A/S PLUS

Got the new tires put on this morning. They seem just as sticky as the GY Run-on-Flats. It was only 48°F so I did not push them but so far so good. I did not notice any difference in road noise or ride quality over the GY

FYI: It is a directional tire.

Thought about getting these. Ended up getting the Continental EXTREMECONTACT DWS 06 XL last night. Getting mounted tomorrow. Good luck with the tires!

Hard to believe, particularly the noise part.
I will switch over to these in April or May. Got 'em stacked up in the basement ready to go!

Probably due to being a convertible. I should have mentioned that. They are more noisy to start with

But I did not notice a difference none the less.

The BFGs are reportedly not very quiet tires. That's the one knock against them. So this is not surprising. In terms of grip, even in the wet and snow, they are supposed to be quite good as ultra-high-performance all-seasons go.

For noise on the previous Gen I didn't hear it, but I'm axle back and loud music, too. I never noticed anything intrusive that way. My experience on snow with it is that I don't recommend it, was pretty poor even in just slush or loose stuff up to a 1/2". I bought winter performance tires instead of putting the Comp2 A/S, or A/S+ on the 1LE (again). I loved the tire otherwise.

I'll do some SPL measurements before I switch over.
I'll be going from General As-05's with a couple thousand miles to new BFG's.
Not apples-to-apples and not super scientific using a cell phone app, but should be fun.

The weather played nice and i got to put the top down yesterday. They might be a tad noisier. But not much. One thing i do think is that i "feel the road" more. Hard to explain. But it is like i can feel everthing in the road now. But i am also being a lot more sensative to it because i am paying specific attention to it.

I have not had it on wet roads yet. On cold very good.

These tires aren't bias plays, they are radials.
