I received mine today and they look good! But any ideas on how to avoid using that clip? Maybe some 3m tape? I'm not a fan of pushing that onto my metal fender and letting it scratch it up.

Sure you could run a long piece of 3M VHB tape along the edge. The clip does not touch the painted side of the fender just the back side of the fender. You could also put a piece of tape on the clip or the fender so there would be no metal to metal contact.

Is this the same for the ZL1? I have fronts, just looking for a kit for the rear.

The rear splash guards have a block built into them to push them 1/4" away from the fender liner to create a sleek appearance.
I purchased the premium package. I don't really see it on the rear guards, but I do have a bunch of stickers with some thickness, are those used for creating the space?

Yes, There should be two spaces attached to the back side of the rear splash guards.

Do you have to remove the rear tires for this install?

I didn't - I used 90 degree ratcheting screwdriver - tight but was easier than taking the tire off
