IDK sounds like it would slosh out of the hole to a point where the fluid is low or if you drove through a giant puddle now filled with water.
What happens is you **** it up. |

I'd suggest immediately stop driving the car, order a new plug, drain whatever fluid may still be in there, and flush it once with fresh fluid to make sure it's not contaminated with other stuff, then fill AGAIN with fresh fluid and close it up. Then I'd move on with my life and hope it doesn't break

In your previous post you mentioned that the dealer forgot to install the fill plug during the previous visit. As others have posted your car’s transmission probably leaked fluid during the drive home and is probably low now. It is possible that some water splashed up into the transmission. Certainly not a good situation. Low fluid and water will both contribute to shifting problems. It’s good that the dealer is going to have it towed back to the shop for repairs. I would expect the dealer to completely flush and fill the transmission with fresh fluid and replace the plug. I would try to get them to replace the transmission filter too. If the the transmission doesn’t work normally after that then hopefully the dealer will make good on their mistake and continue to diagnose and resolve problems until it is right.
