580 hp. Extremely heavy. Geared for acceleration...not economy.

M5 puts out more power stock and is heavier.
So I'm still looking for answers... And we don't use 580 hp 100 percent of the time. Are these cars super rich from the factory? |

Seriously?
It's a V8, 6.2 Liter engine pulling a 4000 lb car? what did you expect? Even ecoboosted trucks are lucky to get 22-25 MPG on the highway.

The black soot continuously coating your exhaust is your answer.

http://www.fueleconomy.gov/feg/Find....32392&id=33075 Smaller displacement, larger fuel tank, and it averages 1 mpg more than the ZL1. Not statistically significant.

Really it's a ZL1. Did you buy it for good gas mileage. If you did u must be slow. Lol only kidding. It's a MUSCLE CAR SCREW GAS MILEAGE.

That's like saying, why is the Prius so freaking slow!
I was getting a little over 16 mpg during break in. Now that my foot is in it, it's dropped to 15. I think that's pretty damn good for a supercharged V8 making 580 hp! Plus it's heavy! |

We are not producing 580 hp 100 percent of the time though. I get it. I've had 600 rwhp cars before. I get it.
