Was slightly shocked at the cost of getting the engine cover painted. So I started to do it on my own

I plan to do the rail covers and other misc items in a CF wrap, but decided on the center piece to go white . Not a huge change, but makes it pop.

Nice. I have always done my own painting in the engine bay. $10 in paint beats the $100's some guys want for some air brushing.

P.s... You stole my idea.

They did a great job cleaning and preparing the paint, but the sales manager insisted he send my car to a professional to buff the paint . Everyone at the dealership was amazed with the color and was proud to see me get my car , I had a very bad experience with my 2015 high country duramax that I traded for my camaro.
I am a long way off from getting my car (Order has not yet been accepted by GM) but wanted to ask what to look for in the clear coat. Was it easy to spot? My dealer is 150 miles away and I want to be sure all is okay before taking delivery.
