Good idea on adding 2019 to the title, that makes good sense to add the year.

I was just trying to fall in line with the other color threads.

That said the other angles are still messing with me. But I really do like grey cars. And that middle section MUST be painted.

I really like the rear end. The lights look awesome off and on. The ridge/crease thing above the diffuser is a so so thing for me right now. Getting a better look at it here I like the ridge directly above the diffuser... but the little pinch/crease is something I need to see more of.

Here are some photoshops I just did. I removed the crease on the rear. I'd probably just fill that thing in with bondo and paint over it. If Chevy swallows a little pride and paints that middle bumper they could really save this refresh. =)
This looks so much better. I actually like the new tail lights. I wish this colour was a tad bit darker though.

The new pics and video make the car look pretty darn great in the new gray... so you know it'll look even better in black when all that bumper craziness fades together

I was hoping for Carbon Black as this year's metallic black option but I guess Mosaic will have to do!

Not trying to dash any hopes or whatever, but those pictures in the first post most certainly have some kind of filter or HDR affect being applied to them which makes the color really pop.

That said, I do like the Satin Steel. We wanted the same color on our 2018 GMC Terrain, but ended up with the darker metallic grey instead.

I was wondering about that myself since a few of the pictures look a little *too shiny*, but after watching the video I think it's just more shine and not changing the color.

Not real sure what he did with the pictures on the Flickr page for it it doesn't show anything special other than a real nice camera. Nikon D750 (about $1,800)....Only thing I see in the picture specs that could have effected it is (Sharpness - Hard).

Like you I really like the color and was already considering it on a ZR2.

Reminds me of the Shark Gray on the Corvette a few years ago, it could look dark and light depending on the lighting too.

Satin Steel Gray is a tad lighter, but still reminds me of it a lot.

Sometimes Satin Steel has a tinge of blue in it. Other times, it's more gray. It's a cool color for sure.

The hood vent is starting to suck because the shape shortens the hood instead of lengthening. Now definatly need hood stripe to relengthen. Also the rims just don't look agressive, need them in black or a different design.

Did you notice how similar the hood vent on the '19 is to those Corvette pictures above ?.....I was surprised how similar they are.

Glad to help.
The engineer was talking about how fast the A10 shifts. It's possible this Camaro will have improved fuel economy with that transmission.
I am actually a bit shocked the Corvette hasn't gotten the A10 yet, as I've not really heard good stories about the A8. I'm a manual only guy myself so it's not a big issue to me either way though.

The C7 floorpan does not work with the A10. The C8(mid-engine Corvette) is going to have a Tremec 8 or 7 speed DCT, though. However, no manual will be offered for the first year or two.
