I hope they actually can obtain good data.

Rotor will heat and cool so quickly taking a "snap shot" at the end of a track session for example is not going to yield any good data.

Still in for results but very curious how they will be doing this comparison.

I think they should either make something to cover it, vs going inside or, how hard is it to get in and replace that factory outlet?

Also can it be confirmed this duct is only for passing air to the brake cooling deflector and cooling the brakes and not anything else like the hub/caliper or for fender air pressure/aero dynamics?

For some reason I cannot find the duct kit on the KNS page, and the link only opens the home page itself. Does someone have an item number to search for? Much appreciated

I believe they posted on Facebook awhile ago that their 3D printer was broken. Haven't seen an update, but that's probably why they don't show the kit on their website.

Yeah spoke with Jordan and his 3d printer is down, so they said another 3 weeks or so before their next batch

I don't see it on KNS's website anymore either, but it's on Garage Therapy's website: https://garagetherapync.com/product/1

The kit just barely fits in the SS 1LE. Has less of a finger clearance at full power on lock when on the ground. This is on a stock setup. We did get it where the tire wouldn't rub by using extra tie wraps and ran it over a track weekend on 2 cars without any issues. Didn't take any temp measurements and was running with track pads instead of stock

We thought we didn't have a rub issue but after I did a close inspection there is a rub issue. Evaluating the options

Most aftermarket brake kits will rub at full lock on any car. My e46 kit (which was 2x the cost of this kit) rubbed like crazy at full lock. You shouldn’t be at full lock on a road course anyhow, so just watch the full lock turns in the paddock.

The brake duct hose is a consumable on the SS, maybe not on the ZL1. Avoiding full lock on track is a no brainer, but it does happen occasionally off track. I've worked on it to minimize any rub

Why would it be any different on a ZL1? Same suspension, tires, and rim offset...
Maybe the ZLE has more room, but it also has wider rims/tires.

Garage Therapy Brake Duct Kit

They are no longer offering this kit. Anybody know where to go for a good brake duct kit?
