Ss mrc / ss1LE mrc

Do both cars have the exact same suspension setup?
Thanks

no, FE3 vs FE4, might just be the tuning, i'm not sure but def has different designations. FE4 being a bit more track oriented.

read this... good info, looks like MRC tuning as well as control arms are different.

I think this converts it to 1le spec. Not sure though.

there is much more involved than just that 1le spec kit. there is a whole slew of parts that don't come with that kit.

me (as well as others), have come up with parts lists to help bridge the gap between that kit and the actual part differences on the suspensions.

however, one thing to keep in mind, that kit comes with a mrc reprogram, and that's the only way to get it. if you buy the parts separate, it is several hundred $'s cheaper, but you can't get the reprogram.

Also, of note, is the eLSD in the 1LE that you don't get in an SS, along with the extra cooling radiators etc.

If that matters to you.

What cooling rads are not on the SS?

you are correct about the eLSD, but not the cooling.

the 1le and ss have the same cooling, they just advertise it more for the 1le.

Camaro SS 1LE
The 2017 Camaro SS 1LE introduces the new FE4 suspension to the Gen Six Camaro – a performance-oriented chassis system with specific tuning for the Magnetic Ride dampers, springs and stabilizer bars. Additional highlights include:

6.2L LT1 V-8 rated at 455 horsepower, and six-speed manual transmission (automatic transmission not available)
Magnetic Ride Control
Segment-exclusive electronic limited-slip differential with 3.73 ratio
Unique forged aluminum wheels with 285/30ZR20 front tires and 305/30ZR20 rear tires
Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar tires with a compound and construction developed exclusively for the Camaro – offering exceptional grip on the track
Brembo brakes with new six-piston monobloc front red calipers – featuring the 1LE logo – and two-piece rotors. Measuring 14.6 inches (370mm) in diameter, the front rotors are 7 percent larger than Camaro SS
Track-cooling package, with engine oil, differential and transmission coolers
Suede steering wheel with shorter-throw shifter
Dual mode exhaust system
Recaro front seats with aggressive bolsters optimized for shifting and steering comfort
Satin black hood, front mirrors and unique three-piece rear spoiler
Satin Graphite front splitter and rear diffuser
Available PDR video/data recording system.

Not sure if the "Track-cooling" package adds additional cooling to the 1LE, maybe not radiators but extra or bigger cooling units?

It's not an extra package or anything different. The ss cooling system and 1le cooling system are identical. as mentioned, they just advertise it as such for the 1le.

Chevy didn't make it easy, why even add that in their announcement.

anyway...the 1LE is WAY cooler

I don't disagree and thought the same thing before I bought my 2ss non 1le and asked about getting the brakes, suspension, and cooling system from a 1le.

I see 4 or 5 threads asking this question, GM made it very confusing, probably on purpose.
