ZL1 lowering springs on ZLE
There are no specific lowering springs available for the ZLE. Has anyone installed a set of lowered ZL1 springs? Curious if they actually fit and what the result was.

Go for it if you have no intention to track the car. Honestly my car is like 3" off the ground, how low do you need it?

The fronts are height adjustable. Start there and see if you need springs for the rear. Pretty sure the fronts have height adjustment????

Regular ZL1 lowering springs will NOT fit the ZL1 1LE suspension.

The problem IMO is the approach to the question, if you want to lower a ZL1 1LE I recommend you don't ask people on the forum for recommendations on where to buy lower springs for stance. You should find an excellent performance suspension or alignment shop with a lot or race track setup cred with American muscle cars, and ask them for a recommendation on a spring setup that will work for great handling and also get you lower.
And as someone else already said, you only need the rear springs lower. The front height can be lowered with the threaded strut. |

I assume OP is going for looks first -> performance second. If so,
1. You can find a coil-over set up that will work. Change all 4 for balance. 2. Cut the rear springs and lower the front. |

1. I don't see where he mentioned anything about lowering it for Stance or as someone else put it "showing out" 2. He lives in Canada, may not be an American Performance shop right down the street in BC I think people sometimes forget everyone on here comes with different backgrounds and experience with cars in general, let alone pony cars. Also, not everyone buys a ZL1 1LE to track it (although I agree that is its primary use), some just like how it looks, how it handles, and the aero. I'm all about free speech and if someone deserves an a$$ kicking, by all means give it to them, but buddy is just trying to get some answers from people that know more than him ... it's actually still OK to be nice to people you don't know, regardless of what we see on TV everyday

Not that you being living in Canada puts you next to their facility. However, you may be able to gather a bit of information on what you are attempting to do. FWIW - I have a memory of an older thread where much the same question was asked. It seems that there are few if any alternatives to change things with the ZLE unless one wants to basically change out most everything.
