European version - FogLights
Hello, I have a European version of the Camaro 2018 SS. For some reason, fog lights are not installed. These are "horizontal" fog lights, not vertical like on ZL1. I would like to ask, is there any chance that cabling will be ready under the bumper? The lights can be bought, but I don't know if it will be where to put them. Thank you.

Easiest way to determine...pull a wheel off use a T25 to remove the fender liners and look ...not too sure about EU spec cars

Ok, I'll try. I wasn't sure it could be seen through fender. I have Lancia cars only at home except Camaro. With Lancia it is customary that all wiring is installed even if the components themselves are not in the version. But for other car manufacturers, this is probably not the rule.

Congratulations on driving such a badass car in the Czech Republic
If you pull back the fender liner on either side as DarkFangz1100 said (you may not even need to take the wheel off, just turn the steering wheel as far as it goes to the other direction), take pictures and post them so we can compare your wiring to that of the US model. You'll most likely need DRL units 84211957 and 84211973, not sure about the harness/fuse situation.

I'll try it tomorrow. Otherwise, it's a total bomb, having such a car in the Czech Republic. Every passage through the city adds patients to orthopedics. One guy even turned around when I was driving around that he almost fell. Only unfortunately we do not have as cheap gasoline as in the US. I almost feel like it has a leaky tank.
My Lancia Lybra 1.9 JTD is able to drive 4-5L/100Km around the city. Camaro 14-15L/100Km. But not much to look at. After all, it's an experiential car and it's not for consumption. I Will post some pictures. There may not be many differences. Only the fog lights are missing and there is no lighting on the fenders. The European Union is full of morons and forbids such things for security. Yet it adds safety to it. Fortunately, Gen5DIY is making a cable to power these lights. I just have to order them. I have only white reflectors instead. But even those are not going to STK. |

Looks like there's no cable. While the cable is visible on the left, I could not find the end of it. One side leads as if to the other side of the car. The other then led somewhere to the bottom of the bumper.
Interesting, however, is that metal "threads" are fitted. |

Where is the rear fog light fuse ?? At the engine? Or in the rear fuse box? I'll just have to look at it. I don't even know where the fog lights are switching. The rear are on the lever. The front switches simultaneously ??? If so, it would be enough to bring the voltage from the rear fog lights.

This is about as far as I feel comfortable going, though, since I'm not an expert and don't want to mislead you. Hopefully someone with more expertise in Camaro electricals can chime in, or again, Gen5DIY are the guys you really need.

Nice..... Well, it can be measured. Thank you for the scheme. PS: Is it possible to get the service manual somewhere? Free?

I have a 2018 2SS EU model (Sweden) and have the same plans as you.
Hope you understand my google translate English I bought both DRL lamps used from the US. I wasn't sure if there were cables but ordered the lamps. Has now taken off the front bumper and mounted DRL lamps. But there are NOT cables on my car. The cable set in my bumper has parts no. 84075202. I ordered the cable from the US car - parts no. 84075203. This cable has connection to DRL lamps and side marking lamps. But the EU model has 2 sensors in bumper that the US model does not have. (crash sensors ...?) So it was not possible to switch to US cable. I had to use parts from both cable sets and build a cable so the sensors would still work. On the car's wiring harness there are 3 cables for DRL lamps but the cables for side marking lights are missing. Has mounted on this now and there is no light in DRL lamps. Have not had time to check more but will look at it soon. Maybe there is no fuse box fuse, or BCM needs programming. |
