OK
My fronts and rears just came in. Everything looks A-OK They came sealed in what looks like the original AC Delco/Brembo packaging. |

Note your pad says FF A15, in my post regarding ZL1 vs ZL1-1LE, my original ZL1 pads say FF A17 and the ZLE says FF A18. I am pretty sure thats the compound number still try to verify that

Did a little digging and it appears that Part# 23337277 is an older part number and is now replaced by Part#23399101. Both part numbers show as compatible with the CTS-V/ZL1..?? As you suggested, going to have to try to figure out how different they are (if any). |

The prices given in this thread are very good at ~$220 front/$80 rear. That's basically wholesale cost for an authorized GM Parts dealer. Current OEM ZL1/CTS-V brake pad part numbers: 89047744 - Rear 23399101 - Front |

I spoke to a guy at Hawk tech dept. He said Brembo is super secretive about their compounds, and he has been to Brembo in Italy several times. He said the best he could compare it to would be a Hawk pad, a DTC , 60, 70, or 80, the 90 is what they use on a cup car at a track like Martinsville

Great info! Question what kind of mileage are you guys out of stock pads. I'm getting squealing now, after three track days and 10K miles. Is that normal and time to replace?

I replaced my front pads with 4-5mm remaining thickness after 8 track days and 5000 miles. Rears are still in after 10 track days and 6000 miles. Factory pads have 9 mm friction material thickness new.

Everything on yours are exactly like what came off of my ZLE except where yours says "661" Mine says"585". Even the bar code tag numbers are identical.
Not sure what those 661 and 585 mean maybe a date code or batch number

Finally getting around to changing the brake pads before i head to the track this coming weekend. However, i noticed the front pads are similar but not the same. It appears as though the slightly older part number pads has a smaller surface area..??
I still have about 7mm left on the original ones so I'm thinking i will just run them and wait for some feedback from you guys. |
