P0056 and p0057

Good afternoon,

I received a custom tune on my 2018 camaro ss and it cleared out all my cel codes except p0056 and p0057. I told my tuner and he told me he deactivated all necessary codes. Anyone else ever experience this?

I'm assuming you deleted the rear O2s and that code was tripped before the tune was updated to delete the correct codes. The codes are flagged as permanent codes.

In 2010+ cars permanent codes refer to emissions codes that can not be cleared by any scanner nor by disconnecting the battery as they live in non volatile memory and not stored in KAM. They are designed that way to stop people from clearing out codes and going for an emissions inspection.

These codes can only be cleared by fixing the issue and going through up to 3 drive cycles before they will clear.

That wouldnt make sense because my bank 1 sensor 2 codes were turned off during the tune. The only codes staying on are for bank 2 sensor 2.
