Auto shift knob......how to
Just wondering if anyone has replaced their stock auto shift handle ?
I just got a new one to put on, but have to get the stock one off first I know there was a thread on this with the manual but the auto appears to be different.Does anyone have experience with it ? |

Yes I have done this to a couple of my auto cars. On the base in the front of the knob there is a little plastic cover you have to pop off, beneath it there is just a single screw. Take it out and the knob will slide right up and off. Super easy.

I replaced mine. Put the car down into "M" (with the engine off) there is a plastic plug at the front base of the shifter, remove it. There is a screw inside to remove, once you do that it should slide right off. When putting the new one on, make sure the it is seated all the way down otherwise the screw will not line back up. It took me a few minutes of that to realize that it was completed seated.
