Camaro ss 1le Rick from driver side
Hello every day I have a 2020 camaro ss 1le 6k miles
Iam full bolt ons. I started hearing this tick and does not sound like regular di I hope I can get guided to the correct information. Not driving the car as of right now to avoid damage but I am scared cus I’m not really sure how long that tick has been there. TAI Video of my car posted below https://youtu.be/rqw6W24j6jM Last edited by Juanaka; 08-08-2020 at 11:36 AM. |

Well Rick needs to shut the hell up.
J/k that sounds to me like an exhaust leak from one of the primaries. You say you're full bolt ons - maybe one of the header flange bolts backed off?

I had uncoated headers on my 5th gen SS. Heard more ticking than with stock manifolds, drove me nuts too, but never any issues. I listened to your clip a few times and didn't seem out of the ordinary to me.

Hi thanks for the response.. got it checked out by the people that did my headers and said they couldn’t trace it down to a exhaust leak.. sounds like a metallic tick sometimes it’s there and sometimes it’s not.. when it’s there it’s pretty loud and obnoxious.

I'm assuming this means you're deleting the AFM systems as well? May as well get the heads ported at the same time while you have them off the car if you got the extra bones for it. |

The heads will be off, might as well do something with them.
