Hard redline settings?

So im pretty comfortable tuning but this gm torque management system is a bit over complicated. Ive had hptuners for over a year and have began to refocus attention on setting a hard redline. Ive tried changing the extreme resume and hysteresis. Ive set them for each gear and increased the tq request but all ive gotten is a more aggressive but still smooth and non-bouncing limiter. Does anyone know how to get a normal hard hitting limiter?

Share it I put heavy duty valve springs and a cam in, want to raise the RPM hard limit, share the knowledge.

Simple..

In HPT. Engine/Fuel/Cutoff,DFCO

Set extreme cut-off- 7000

In Gear- 7000 for all gears. I leave park, neutral, reverse set 6000.

EOT(engine oil tem)- 7000 above 41 degrees for all speed.

Extreme Resume 6990.

This is if you want a 7k rpm rev limit. If you want higher then change accordingly. I shoot for 2-300rpm above the shift points.

Yea thats most of it but it was still soft when i first tried that, i had to increase torque requested as it nears the limit so that it didnt close the throttle as much

Yea if other areas of the tune are off then the ECU will close the throttle...My post was based on the fact that the torque limits and driver demand stuff was all correct prior.
