He maybe missing out on some cherry vehicles by excluding ones from the north. Most are stored during winter and not driven till salt is washed away from the roads. Someone got a mint 18ZL1 I sold 2 years ago. 12000 mostly highway miles still with the original tires on it, stored in winter, clean and important parts had ppf and I included the original window sticker. Ownership pride is more important then location to me. Now would I buy from the north right now and drive it home in salt=no. I would have to figure that out if in that position.

I agree with these sentiments. Location shouldn’t be a factor, especially for a high performance car like the Z’s. It’s likely safe to assume that any owner in northern regions will not be foolish enough to attempt to drive these monZters during snow / salt conditions. I store mine before any of the snow / salt just the roads and we’ll after it’s all washed away. Just common sense in my opinion. Likewise, I store mine up on Jack stands, wheels off, and in a car-capsule for the winter months. Yep, super anal about keeping her pristine. All I’m suggesting is to keep your search area open. You may find exactly what you’re looking for. Good luck man…

This is wishful thinking. As a counterexample, I think it's foolish to save your car for the next owner. I want to enjoy them the entire time I own them, not just a few months out of the year. I kept them in good condition, but I drove all my cars year round when I lived up north in the snow and ice, including my "nice" ones that cost even more than a ZL1. If you're concerned that a car has seen snow/salt then don't look for Northern cars because unless you know the owner you'll never be certain. I'm an example of someone who actually enjoyed their nice cars year round and have zero regrets about it, and I personally know a lot of people who do the same.
