I had a Quicksilver Metallic 2006 M6 until July 2009 when my recently ordered 2SS arrived. No mods, 6100 miles when I traded it. It was quick, interior was great, but handled and braked like a turd.

Great seats/seating position, great steering wheel that wasn't getting funky with it's shape, great placement of the petals and shifter. There was a lot to like about them. Unfortunately while they looked clean, their style just didn't jump out at you as looking fast or bad arse the way other Pontiacs like a LS1 T/A WS6 or a G8. Also it didn't house a lot of tire in the wheelwells.
There were horror stories about struts on these cars rubbing against the tires and slicing them like a can opener over time. It was said that early GTOs were strapped too tightly on the freight ships from Austrailia and compressed the suspension !!

I had a black 2006 GTO, that got wrecked in Brooklyn a few months after purchase by a sequence of unfortunate events. It was stock with an automatic transmission, a little monster that would chirp second gear. Felt heavy and larger when you drove it. Very comfortable seats and amazingly comfortable REAR seats. Replaced it with a shitty Mustang GT M5. Always hit the rev limiter and quite frequently missed gears on the crappy gearbox. Traded that in on 2009 for a 2010 Gen5 1SS M6, which I built an impatiently awaited delivery.

Still miss the little GTO...

LOL. I would take one of those 'blue turds' over a dozen of the last model GTOs, which were easily the ugliest GTOs every made. No offense to those of you who had them, but no. Like a souped up Cavalier.

I had a 2005 Cyclone Grey A4 I loved. LS2 had it tuned, X pipe inplace of resonator, Magnaflow 14 x 6 mufflers all other piping factory. Put down 353 hp on Mustang Dyno.

Had Privat 5 spoke wheels. With the X-pipe and magnaflows gave the car a higher note but VERY exotic. Like a Maserati V8 Sedan....

I had a 05 Quicksilver GTO A4. Ran strong. This was back in 06 when i was going through cars every 3 months. Went to a 04 C5 Z51 after the GTO and i never did like the C5 as it had less power. Then went to a 06 C6 A6 and loved that car.
