I couldn't tell you in a cold environment, but here where its usually always warm, the factory 245 pizza cutter width tires on my LT1 hook very well (for what they are). The car feels much more planted and secured than any same generation v8 mustang or challenger I have driven.

I was one lane over and two car links back today from a local car wash and a Challenger Scat Pack (6 MT I think) hit the gas too hard on wet tires making a right turn and put it sideways in front of me. It snap oversteered and he barely saved it from hitting the curb.
At the next light we are side by side and he rolls down the window and with a sheepish grin says "I think there was too much wax on the tires!". I replied "Maybe but you've got to watch it on wet tires".
