Factory alignment off? Or GY Eagles

I have a 2021 ZL1 with 1500 miles with Good Year Eagles. The front tires outside tire groove is 1/8 of an inch deep on both front tires. The other grooves all are normal depth. Is my toe way off or is this the tire design ?

If you corner hard, that's normal for the outside tread to wear down faster than the inside.

I don’t and don’t break on the corners. I did just look at the tires on Tire Rack and the picture looks like the outside groove is shallow. So I think it might be the design. Hoping to get a response from someone with the same tires with low Milage. Wonder if theirs are the same?

The tires are molded that way. Look at the little dots not the grooves on the outside for tread depth. This question pops up every week.

It’s just the tires... They’re notorious for wearing out very quickly, notably why many of us swap them out asap for another tire.

Thanks. Well my intention is to “drive the car like it belongs yo my brother in law” so they should not last long

Supercar 3 doesn't last long but it's pretty good for dual-duty(track and street) and it's also pretty cheap to replace as far as big fat tires go.

If you want something more street-friendly a lot of people just use Michelin PS4S, just be prepared to pay up.

Factory alignments can be off, way off, in my area there's no charge to get it on the rack and check it. If it's out then it's $80-$100. Somewhere along the line mine was toed out as I remember, cost me a front set a bit sooner than it should have. Most likely was bad off the assembly line but had no apparent drivability issues, just wore our the inner shoulder in 10K.

Exactly this!

I just ordered new GoodYear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3 tires, and the outside thread depth is very shallow compared to the inside.

My Goodyear's on my 2 SS wore on the outside as well. I know they are different componnd and they lasted 11,000 miles. When I had new Michelin Sport 4 S put on they did an alignment. I asked the tech if it was out of alignment and he said just one rear tire ( I remember kissing a curb on that tire a few months before) so I would say that is normal for your GY's.
