Just read this thread now, and I’m definitely interested!

I want better video quality than the stock factory PDR gives and ease-of-use between sessions without diving into tons of data which starts to take some of the fun out of it for me at least.

I’d also like to have a camera for the back of the car, does anyone know if you can add another camera to this system?

Also for anyone who has used this, how would you compare it to ease of use and helpfulness compared to something like the RaceChrono app when used between sessions?
They seem similar in that regard but I think Garmin is more automated in terms of organizing and deciding what your best opportunities for improvement are

Haha hmmmm

Just realizing now that the Garman catalyst does not have data overlay for the videos when exported, so I may wait until they change this before purchasing or use Race Chrono (not sure how hard it is to do this), but if there was someway to get my PDR out of my Camaro and sell it to you after that, I think you’ll be up for it!

Looking forward to your review.

One of my concerns regarding the live coaching and the between session opportunities is my understanding that these are all based off of comparisons within one session rather than comparisons to other sessions from the same day or other track days. In other words, if it’s not comparing to the best you’ve ever done, I think it might be limited in the usefulness IMO

Hopefully I misunderstood something or I am wrong about this part of this product

I just used it for first time this past weekend at GTA Buttonwillow event, one session it couldn't acquire satellites, and one session it failed to 'save' my laps... other than that was flawless... and became quite enjoyable 'yelling at me'

It's very easy to use and reference data/laps/images which is why I went with it. I've never been able to pay attention to dots and lines/charts... but videos and images I can handle.

Here's a video of my lap from Buttonwillow:

Best regards,
Dave

Alright, here's my review: Buy the damn thing!

Just did my first weekend with it and it shaved 3 seconds of my time at MSR Houston. I went from running consistent 1:48s to consistent 1:45s (had a 1:43, but ran into a train just before my lap marker... made me sick).

The audible coaching of it doesn't help me. It may later as I get used to it. It's the post session analysis. It shows me what my speeds and braking points can be everywhere on the track (was already happy with my line). I respond best to speed targets, so this device is perfect for me.

That was enough to put me over the edge. Mine arrives Monday. Hoping to try it out at Sonoma end of the month.

I finally figured out how to get it to come through on the car stereo by selecting it as the bluetooth audio device. Shaved whole seconds of my best track times at a track I have been to probably 20+ times.
