I don’t have the PDR or track package on order. What’s in my sig is what’s on order.

If you're not 100% married to these options, a local dealership has this in their inventory. https://www.classicchevrolet.com/Veh...-TX/5249998980

Also, are we lumping in constraints on specific items with dealer allocations? I figure my dealership had the allocation and I didn't have the options selected that I had read were in short supply, which might explain why my vehicle is already built. Sadly, the current issue for me is going to be if there's a transport available to bring my vehicle to the dealership. My salesman said that there is a shortage of drivers with Covid, so he's not 100% sure when my vehicle will be delivered.

As above, there are no constraints on 1SS 1LE's right now so if you have an allocation it should move forwards quickly

Hey! Could you clarify what you mean by “doesn’t remove the parking sensors”?

I’m aware the PDR option removes Forward Collision Alert, but I don’t believe this is related to parking sensor. Or is it? Could anyone with PDR confirm?

Ultimately I’m still getting PDR as my car is now built but I’m curious nonetheless.

Thanks!

Sorry, it may be the forward collision alert that it disables, as that sensor goes on the camera. I know it replaces one alert system. I didn't look at the options during my build close enough, but I did see that it removed some sensors.

Ah ok no worries. Yeah that’s my understanding that it only removes the feature where it senses an upcoming collision and alerts you and/or applies the brakes. Maybe the system is different/better now, but on my 2015 Impala it will occasionally (and totally unnecessarily) apply the brakes, like in a parking lot when I approach the opening gate, and it scares the shit out of me when that happens.

So I only see it as a bonus that it removes this annoying feature

Lol, yeah I had an annoying little Kia soul that did the same thing. I used to live near a school zone and it would be a b*tch to back out of my driveway. I had a small window in which to back out of and the system would slam the brakes right in the middle of the street because it thought the traffic coming at 20 MPH was going to plow into me.

About the only reason to bother with not getting the PDR is the constraints on parts. I have a dashcam that gives me plenty of nice footage, allbeit without the performance data. I have a nice front/back recording of me pulling on a guy in a charger that was trying to keep up with me in traffic. The funny part is that I never really saw him as I only suspected someone tailgating me with their headlights trying to flank me from each side.

No PDR is a deal breaker for me... I do many track days and being able to pull data points from every sensor on the car and overlay it with my prior laps, friends laps, and professional drivers laps is a huge advantage!

You can cross examine data from anyones PDR system... See a great lap at your favorite track on YouTube.. simply ask the person who posted it for the MP4 file and boom you have all there vehicle data (in the same format) to overlay on top of yours and see what they did compair/improve...

Thanks for sharing this info! I didn’t know I can do this. I will definitely be using the PDR for track days. My first time having it but this is an awesome feature that you can do this.

Hi all, and apologies if I'm overlooking this in the thread, but if an order is at 3000 status from a few weeks ago, do the current constraints posted have an impact, or is it just on orders that have been submitted but not picked up (i.e. delays any chance of moving to 2000 or 3000 status)? I have a ZLE w/PDR on order... thanks.

Yup, all that captured telemetry is the fantastic value for the money with the PDR, not so much the rendering the car provides, although that's not half bad either.

No, you should be good. Constraints control leaving 1100 status.
