The saga continues. It appears after further review there was some tune data in the computer that wasn’t factory. Of course I hoped that that resetting to a factory tune would fix the hesitation/bucking but it didn’t. The mechanic said it does seem to be helping overall, but not fixing the problem. The MAF data still seems to be culprit, a new one was tried just in case as well. The throttle body was cleaned, and some minor realignment on the ducting for the air intake. The battery is now new, and the work done to improve the battery connections seems to have helped the entire 12v system. But none of that has fixed the hesitation.

Back to the drawing board!

Can you post a pic of the cold air intake? All I can suggest is inspecting the maf wiring & circuit. Without seeing more comprehensive data in the log it is just a guessing game.

So the saga seems to have ended. And I truly appreciate those that offered some ideas. We ended up replacing the ECM and it’s run great over the past 3 days and about 45-50 miles. With the prior battery not being seated in the harness correctly it looks like it was making contact with the top support bar amongst other issues with what they had going on. After he replaced the battery he was getting much better readings on all of the sensors, and then it was just a matter of working back to the ECM which the theory is the bad voltage may have done something to it.

I’m a little gun shy to declare victory, but the first few days have been great.
