OTOH, Charlotte taught us that a long start and low/medium grip surface make it possibly unclimbable hill for the FS cars to compete with those SS cars.

I'm registered for CAM in Lincoln later this week and S3 in Bristol, but I don't think I'll decide about Lincoln until techistration on Thursday.

Right side
So that’s what tires sound like on a grippy surface…lol

sorry for the sound. new Mic didnt work in the go pro

Fast runs from the pro, ended up 5th in S3 behind all the super street cars.

Fast runs from the tour. Car was super pushy all weekend. Day one 1 had two dirty runs and had to get a clean safe one. Day 2 car just would not turn. had to be too patient on the throttle lol.

I know you're not fond of the PDR, but the audio is actually pretty good. you could merge the GoPro video with PDR audio.

All my west/day 1 runs were dirty including this one where I hit the apex cone before the start light

Things went better on the east course on day 2:

No one needs to see my Pro runs

With the new stage lights at tours, it's really easy to sync if the PDR and outside cameras can both see the light change from red to green.

Nice run, I can't believe how fast that is, your average speed is probably higher than the top speed we hit on our local courses

HPS 5.0

Just wanted to share that I recently installed the Hawk HPS 5.0 pads (purchased from OP) and IMO they do work pretty well for Autox in our cars. Previous pads were HP+ (2nd generation). Stopping power feels similar but less abrupt. And the dust level is way less.

My best Finger Lakes Tour runs. Good for second place, but a whole 4.2 seconds behind Strano.

My Saturday run was good enough that I was happy with it even though it was nothing special. The Sunday run was...yikes. A little power oversteer in the slaloms/offsets on the way out from the start got me late and sloppy. the first 12 seconds or so are just...ugly. I went into the run sitting in fourth and even with the bad start to the third run, I knew there was enough time left on the rest of the course that I thought I could probably still improve by at least a few tenths and I wound up dropping a full second.

For what they were, third runs on both days were digging myself out of holes. Historically, that's not been my strong suit as I usually get too far in my head and it doesn't get better from there. I'm pretty happy with how I managed to pull it together to do as well as I did on those third runs. Especially on Sunday after blowing the opening sequence so badly. Overall, another solid step towards sustained improvement.

Fun courses. Fantastic site. Stayed with a couple friends on site in an RV and had a blast.

Saturday 60.551

Sunday 690781
