NO DEALS
I made a horrible mistake selling my 2014 CRT 1SS RS 1LE 6 SPEED . Had 1 7/8 SW headers and hi flow cats, CAI with scoop, ported TB,MBRP 3 inch catback and a tune. Ran like a raped ape .Now I need to get a new 2022 but there are no deals or inventory .Looking for a 2ss 1LE 6 speed in Riverside blue .I have owned 9 Camaros ,and 2 Firebirds in the past . The last couple I have bought were at Autonations, but there are no inventory at a sane price now. I have the cash ,but cant bring myself to order it and pay MSRP. When the hell will this loosen up ? I have some gm points on my gm card . This waiting is killing me. Best prices im getting is MSRP on an ordered car with a wait time that is sketchy . Who would have thought there would be a time when there were no deal or incentives. Guess I will just have to wait until the factory / supply chain loads up the dealers and some incentives are available.

Won’t lift through mid ‘22 with chip shortage and new restrictions in EU and Asia. I wanted to order a new SS in May of this year, and was told to pound sand. Ended up getting a 6k mile 18 1SS 1LE. So glad I did. Paid the price of a new one, but otherwise I’d be waiting still.

I'm in the same boat. Let go of my '14 1SS 1LE wanting to order a '22 1SS 1LE A10 PDR and the copper free brakes in Wild Cherry. Placed my order and waited for my dealer to get an allocation, which was most likely going to happen. 2 weeks later PDR went on constraint! I am not going to waiver on what I want, so that means I'm in for a long wait.

AutoNation sucks, they buy dealer chains and destroy them. It might be personal but I hope they rot in hell. I would honestly try shopping around. Talk to Joe and see what he says, he is dead honest and doesn't play games. If I was unable to work with anyone local to me, he was going to be my go to. Mine ended up coming from a local dealer who was smart enough to actually read the email I sent out thru the Chevy site and actually reply coherently to me. It was 2 out of 12......

My experience wit Auto Nations was great , I picked up the phone in March 2014 and ordered my last Camaro CRT 1SS RS 1LE from DOUG BONHAM ,came in early May . Got GM points, promo discount , and Doug gave me a price $500.00 less than any other dealer. I shopped the hell out of it and Auto Nations and Doug were the cheapest with no nonsense or BS . Bought my 2005 Chevy 2500 hd Duramax from him in 2005 ,same kind of deal. They have treated me right and been GTG for me . Guess im just going to wait till the supply chain gets going again.

Ordering, waiting 6+ months and paying MSRP, that IS the deal to be had these days.

Especially true of performance cars that have a good reputation. I am picking up my 2022 GT4 @ MSRP tomorrow and it was ordered almost a year ago. For the foreseeable future, sought after performance cars of ALL brands are going to be a order and wait type of deal. It is just the new norm. for now. I actually think that it could permanently change (at least with performance cars) how the process works. The days of flooding the market may not return for a very long time, if ever. You think getting the 1LE is hard... Try the new Z06, Porsche GT3, GT4, GT4 RS. I am lucky on my timing, I would not want to be looking into just starting the process right now.

My other half just picked up her 22 wild cherry A10 1LE. Initially ordered in March a week or two before the factory closed. Then got notified in June the order had to be resubmitted to a 22. She just picked up the car 2 weeks ago. The salesman said there's no negotiating on price, were lucky the car came in and in the market he could easily sell it for 10k over msrp.
Mind you my family and I have collectively bought 7 cars from this dealer and I've bought 3 from this salesman now. Typically I use a gm family discount with all other purchases. This car wasn't in my name so I couldn't use it. MSRP is basically the best deal you can get. Some Chevy dealers won't even honor the GM discount......

As far as waiting goes, it really depends if you have a trade or not. If you can get top dollar for a trade in it makes the MSRP price not that bad. If no trade then you have to decide if these prices are going to drop or not. I don't think we will ever see a flood of Camaros again so I think not. GM is focused on pickups, SUVs and Corvettes. The Camaro is a sunsetting program.

Looks like i am going to wait for a fair price, no way i am ever going to pay MSRP or over. Cash is king, and sooner or later there will be deals again.

I feel ya man. I was looking for a 2SS 1LE most of 2021 but people were crazy with their prices wanting the price of a new Camaro for a 3 year old car.
I managed to find a low mileage 2018 2SS 1LE a month ago from a dealer who didn’t want to sit on it all winter and took what I offered. I refuse to pay Covid pricing lol. |

I found some decent deals on car gurus you just have to be willing to travel across country and drive back. I flew out and made the 15 hour drive home in my 2018 NGM M6 ZL1 3 months ago. Very happy with the price I paid
