Convertible stereo. What are you running?

I fit 2 pioneer slim 12s under the roof in the trunk. Found a slim truck box off eBay. Amp wise dropped a kenwood mono 500 watt originally but upped it to the 1000 watt 2 ohm model this summer.

Roof up it has great sound roof down drops bass by 20 to 30 percent.
4 way pioneers in the doors with infinity tweeters finished up with 2 way infinity speakers in back.

Ran rca adapter off of rear speakers to get rca's into trunk.

Added neons off of trunk light just for some flare.

Piece of cake install with battery in trunk. A ton easier than my other intstalls. GMC, Grand am, ford explorers, Honda etc.

I have the Boston Acoustic in the Green Flash. This electronics stuff is Greek to me. I'd like to upgrade the little speakers in the rear quarters, but have no clue how I would go about hooking up another amp.

Stock 7 speakers are wonderful for my LT Vert. I don't need to throw away money and loss of hearing at 37. So I keep the volume between 14 and 17 with my iPod Classic.

2015 non BA here, I just put in a set of Infinity Kappa Component speakers in the front doors, I have some Kicker 3.5" coax speakers in the back, thinking of upgrading to some Infinitys. I put a 8" pioneer I-b flat subwoofer to replace the stock 8", I am running stock Mylink head unit and stock sub amp. It sounds pretty dang good for regular listening, no shaking windows of the neighbors or anything, I am to old for that.

I replaced my OEM Boston Acoustics speakers and sub with Kicker speakers and sub. I drove with the top down for the first time today and was shocked by how great it still sounded at 100mph.

If anyone is interested in my OEM BA stuff shoot me a text. I'll let it go cheap.

In the trunk of my 2014 vert.

Made a custom box for like $50 for the speaker

Added a Secondary battery and isolator ( stinger )where the tire inflation system was. Added a 1/4 floor over it.

Single Kicker L7 12"

Amp is a Soundstream Tarantula T1.6000DL
6,000 Watt 1 Channel Amplifier

will be replacing the 3" in the rear quarters soon as well as the door speakers with high end kicker speakers. (( have two sets of Kicker 43CSC674 on my shelf waiting. 100RMs each. ))

Stereo is currently the same Mylink that came with the car.
(( cant see dropping a $300-$400 just for the kit to be able to replace the stereo currently ))

Only issue i have now is that plastic visor part of my convertable top is now loose. i think it shook a screw loose or broke it. That piece that crosses where the latch is in the middle. over the drivers side i am now getting rattle.

I have played with the idea of just removing the rear seats and doing some crazy Fiberglass and lights stereo mod in its place installing a couple L715's with Mids all around. Upgraded tweeters as well all around. I never use the rear anyway.

If i decide to i will do a complete online video with pictures and upload.

thats would be

Two - Kicker L7 15"s (( 1200 RMS each // 2400 RMS Total))
Six - Kicker CS Series CSC65 (( 100 RMS each // 600RMS Total ))
Four - Kicker CS Series CST20 Tweeters (( 50 RMS each // 200RMS ))

Swapped to the ilink maestro kit. Loving it. Front cam added also.

Kenwood dmx9706S. Kit was 300 with a radio. 350 full price from crutchfield. I payed the 25 for ready harness just to save my time.

2011 non-ba. Recently upgraded the 8" sub to a 10" pioneer with a rockford amp. Still use the non-ba sub amp for the input into the rockford so it shuts off with the car. Not a huge difference in sound but I picked up the sub and amp from another member so was not that expensive. I got door speakers from the same deal but have not done anything with those.

Here's my setup. I have a 5 channel amp and a 10inch JL inside a subthumb box. I just ordered a film for the head unit because i can't see shit in any direct sunlight.

Here's a link to the front camera. Works great.
