Sound Deadeners

Has anyone ever used the spray or the sticky pads sound Deadeners in the back of their cars? I'm trying to eliminate some of the road noise coming from the back of my car

Dynamat works good. I have it in a few places on my car. I forget who but it was a ZL1 guy lined the entire trunk with it.

Do A search. I used both Dynamat and Raammat products. I did my Camaro from the
front seats all the way back to the rear body panel including the inner 1/4 panels, wheel
housings, etc. The 5th gen Camaro has absolutely no unibody insulation. My car is very
quiet inside now even with my muffler delete Solo J/Pipes.

I've shown these many times but since you asked:

I guess it depends on the car, and whether it's a vert or coupe. I had an '02 Miata convertible and put Dynamat over every inch of the interior from the the firewall to the back wall, including inside the doors (I even took out the seats to get a solid covering under them). Around the neighborhood there was about a 35% reduction in road noise. Around town that went down to about 15%, and on the highway I could barely tell a difference at all. Again, it must depend on the car, because I thought it was a waste of time and money, not to mention it adds a good amount of weight, if you're concerned about that.

If you decide to go that route anyway, shop around - there are similar products to Dynamat that cost much less.

Only complaint I have with the car is tire noise

My ExtremeContacts are more quiet than the P Zeros were, but anything is more quiet than the P Zeros lol.

Could just turn up the volume on your exhaust

I've found that guns, guitars, Marshall stacks, Ted Nugent concerts and 'boosted' car stereos from my past have deadened the sound in everything in my world, at 60 years old. I'm always looking for something to help me hear better. Enjoy the noise while you can!

I heard that u need to use another type of insulation to block noise. These are more for music related stuff. Some guy talked about what they use in home theaters to block noise through the wall because that's exactly what it's made for.

My car after deadening was quieter exhaust and road noise wise. You can double layer for more deadening. I just buy the cheap stuff and double layer in areas as needed (ie near my subs).

Get B-Quiet. Google it. Wayy wayy cheaper than dynamat.

Been an audio geek since I bought my first car I'd highly recommend secondskin audio. http://store.secondskinaudio.com/luxury-liner-pro/
If you want max protection from road noise or anything hit it with damp pro then put the luxury liner right on top. Stuff is alot thicker than what you would get from Dynamat.

Really expensive when both products are installed as directed but I definitely would
have used it instead if Dynamat if I would have known about it back in 2009.
Thanks for the info.

I cut a piece of carpet and put under the factory trunk mat, dead silent.
