What head unit is everyone running with their double din kits?
I'm about to get one of the metra double din kits and want to hear everyone's opinion on any head units they ended up going with for their installation. I know spymaster went with the AVIC-Z110BT which is an amazing unit (one of the only one i'm familiar with) but damn it's always been so priced; I am apprehensive about the price vs value on that one.
Any input and shared comments would be extremely helpful on me making a decision. I'd love a HU with the ability for dvd's or divx since i'm always driving a certain someone down to OC every two weeks. Thanks! |

Picked up a Kenwood DNX9960 last night...Got it wired up, but haven't closed up the dash yet...The Garmin NAV in it is far and away better than the Pioneer Z110BT...Also, you actually have to cut part of the inside radio housing in the dash out so that all the damn wires and box from the metra kit will fit...Didn't have the right tool at home to cut through the plastic...The directions show you what to cut out...Hopefully I can find something here at work today to make cuts...

i'll have to keep my eyes open on every option then, i'll research the 9960 for now and hit up indy if I need to afterwards.

just looked up the Kenwood DNX9960 and damn it's even more pricey. I guess the Z110BT might be my chocie as I don't NEED some fancy nav package. Just functional and moderate.
