You can see here in the picture there is a slight angle. They seem to have made a few slight mods to design on the newest run of these kits The last install I did yesterdays went much easier. Tube fit much easier onto the filter and box went in a little easier than mine. Not comlpaining just letting all know C.A.I. continues to make their product even better if that was possible.

Yes to pre-oiled I believe and they said they were going to have a kit. Need James to answer that one. I will be looking to order too if there is one.
Thanks- contacted James(email Sunday night) & responded Sunday also, and he stated all the red performance filters are pre-oiled.Asked for info on oil and cleaning kit and he did not respond to that. Will have to wait and see. Thanks for response.
Great looking car.Hope mine looks half as good as yours when I finish the engine compartment.Very-very nice!

The one page flyer that came with the filter in a separate box states Quote
"re-oil using filter oil . Don't use other cotton filter oils, the color is different (oil has a tint of green in it)."Does that mean the correct oil to use has a tint of green or the in-correct oil has a tint of green?
Sorry but I dont want to mess up a $50.00 filter when it comes time to clean it.

If you have an L99, a hearty fuse pull will suffice

Just put mine on today.Great product with excellent finish and fit.Talk about fit.Had one hell of a time getting the top on as fit of the top cover to body molding was so good that I had to physically push the molding back quite hard to get alignment to body molding.Everything went as designed.Highly recommend this product.Great work.
And the idle at re-start was a heck of alot smoother that with the stock intake.Great product - GO GET EM!!!
Oh yea & no battery disconnect needed and no codes thrown!
