It's possible to do but if GM is going to kill off the Camaro again, then I doubt they will spend money on R&D for a Z/28.
You missed the second part, making 500 people want it.

I will pay for one that's two or more cars sold.

I would buy one, would have to have AC for here though. Texas gets pretty ****ing hot. I don't need all the stuff the ZLE has. I am too old for a street car not to have AC though. If I want a true track monster I could gut my ZLE and have it and even keep the AC. That is the dilemma GM faces. They made the ZLE so good that topping it NA would alienate many buyers. Guys that can afford it can have all the comforts and still go fast. If they gut like the precious Z/28 it won't sell with the ZLE as an option.

Agree with the consensus here, not likely to see a 6th Gen Z/28. There are already A LOT of models in the lineup now and there is a 4 cylinder model that didn’t exist in Gen 5. Then add in the 1LE packages for each version, plus the LT1 trim with the LT1 engine. It’s a crazy amount. I think we’d be more likely to see the LT5 get jammed into another car, imagine the development cost per engine for under 2000 ZR1s in 2019, yikes. That could be some “super” 1LE, not sure they’d throw Z/28 on it but the C7 Z06 was FI. Who knows...

That’s 3 confirmed buyers. Mary, GM, Chevy? You there? Your internet teams giving you these notes Mrs. Barra?

Think the dots not being connected here is the Gen 5 Z was an abysmal failure from a sales standpoint. Out of that failure came a car that had everything the Z/28 didn't, including more power, it's called a ZL1 1LE.

The ZLE is simply too good to be beaten with an N/A engine in the same chassis. It would be nearly impossible to get enough weight out of the car, and have it roll down the same assembly line. A 600hp+ N/A engine would give up so much torque down low.

I didn't miss anything. I wasn't replying to how many cars would be made, how many need to be sold, how many people will want it, etc. I was replying as to how to reduce weight. As I already stated, I doubt GM will invest money on R&D for a Z/28.

Could the CT5-V Blackwing get the LT5?
