Wheel size on 1LE
I have a base 4 cylinder 2020 Camaro and was wondering what the width of the rims are on the 1LE or SS? I would like some wider rims that will clear the 6th gen. I currently have taken off the factory 18X8.5 and put on 20X8.5 front and 20X9.5 rears. Are the 1LE rims wider?

According to Chevrolet.com, the SS 1LE wheels are 20” 10” front and 11” back.

SS rims are 20x8.5" front and 20x9.5" rear... SS 1LE rims are 20x10.0" front and 20x11.0" rear... Make sure you get the correct offsets...

Yup, these are the GM 1LE sizes. Offsets are +20 front, +43 rear, and there isn't much wiggle room either in the front or the rear on a non-1LE car, so if you buy aftermarket wheels, don't go crazy with the offsets, try to stay close to these numbers (unless you're okay with spacers and more poke).

Look at apex racing for fitment.. square is the way to go imo..

20x10 20x11 is oem 1le sizes and zl1 just not zl1 1le very popular for ss guys to swap to those no issues

The wheels and tires will make a big difference in how the car behaves so be careful with your choices... wider can be better but there are tradeoffs.
SS 1LE size is good for performance and looks, they are heavy, noisy, expensive and require frequent steering corrections, and you have to be vigilant driving it in case it tramlines. Not a great choice if you spend a lot of time on the highway, but smooth interstates are no problem, just depends on the roads. SS non-1LE size is better for general street and highway use, but 20" wheels are heavy. the stock 20s + runflats are ridiculously heavy and a 4 cyl doesn't quite need as much rear tire as an SS. I'd consider going with some 19s, they are lighter and less expensive, the tires are less expensive too. I'd go with a square setup that you can rotate, this will give you double the mileage warranty on Michelin, so 30k miles for PS4S. It's up to you exactly what to go with, but I'd suggest something like 275/35/19 for a good blend of high performance and driveability. I run 265/40/19 square for my winter setup, it works really well overall and cruises on the highway nicely. That would also be a good size (in 35 series, so 265/35/19) for general use on a 4 cyl. Camaro as it's lighter and has less power vs the SS. Also check out Apex wheels fitment guide for Camaro as mentioned. They can help you with offsets, spacers if needed, etc... They also sell tires w/ free mounting. Be realistic about what you use the car for, what you value, and look at how much tires cost. For looks it's hard to beat SS 1LE wheels imo but PS4S are $$$ and they aren't ideal for highway use. I'd consider looking at Michelin PS4S or Conti Extreme Contact tire sizes and see what sizes and prices there are. Ultimately a 19" square setup is the most practical blend of price, performance and looks imo.

As a 1LE owner, this car really should come with 19s, not 20s. 18s would look a little ridiculous and while better for some things, 19 is really a better all around performance size that still allows for a decently lightweight wheel and good performance. 20s are over the top. The 1LE wheels look fabulous, but are heavy as hell. I have some winter 19s and the tires are only 255 but holy crap the acceleration and response feels so much more lively. The 1LE needs 305s to put down that power all the time and deal with it's heavier weight in turns. Raced an ATS-V this weekend and he was having a hell of a time on a tight course due to tires too small for the weight of the car. If your car is lighter and has less power, you definitely don't need this much rubber and it will make you slower, not faster. To that extent, I would recommend something like 265 or 275 square. Get 19s that support.

20"ers are silly for mostly street driving. Keep the smaller diameter and get some sidewall height. Extra width isn't really needed at 4cyl power levels, but if you like it and can afford it, why not.

I have the 6 piston Brembo that's sold in the Chevrolet Performance book. I put all the 1LE parts on my base car plus the SS 20 inch wheels with 168mph speed rated tires, then I entered it in the Big Bend open road race in the 140mph average class. The brakes are killer at high speeds, but I don't think I ever really pushed them. I averaged 143.93 over 59 miles with straight line speed of 154mph top. I drove it deep into the turns in the canyons, and the brakes always felt perfect. It's really a great driving car, but now I'll be using it more in autocross so I would like some wider 18 inch rims with Rivals.

Just call up Apex Wheels, tell them you have 1le breaks, they'll give you the offsets, hub rings, and hardware. If you can get your hands on real Gen5 Z28 wheels. That would be rad.
