High flow heads for the V6?

Not talking about headers, as the LGX has intagrated headers, but heads themselves.

Someone on my youtube commented they found custom heads for the Gen 6 V6 camaro but I can't find any sources online.

I was wondering if anyone here knew where I can source them, because high flow heads may give me enough efficiency I could push up to 10lbs of boost more safely and make more power overall.

I was also considering the big 84MM throttle body advertised here, but I realized because my supercharger intake bolts directly to it, I don't think I can change that now? Or would the bigger throttle body end up moot because of the diameter of the S/C intake hole?

Are you talking about ported stock heads or a aftermarket casting? Regardless you would still be limited by the stock internals when it comes to boost

I would think that any reputable speed shop could easily port, polish, and flowtest a set of aluminum heads. You might be able to get a used set from a junkyard or online for cheap and send them off. However, do you know how much work is involved with tearing down the top of the motor just to remove them? Its probably not gonna be worth it in terms of time and money.

How much can the 3.6L handle in terms of boost anyway on stock internals? How much power?

From everything I'm seeing 400-450 at the wheel seems to be the general accepted "safe limit" if you will. It can be easily done on a stock V6, which is why I was thinking the heads are a waste of money unless the internals are upgraded as well

Apparently the same place that can offer custom built heads, also offers lower compression (10.5:1) forged pistons and forged rods.

At that point, assuming conservatively around 3k labor, for heads, rods and pistons install, and around 6k total cost.

I could easily push 12+lbs of boost(assuming the 1.7L eaton blower doesn't shit the bed above that) and be well into the 500+ WHP numbers. Likely 550+.

At that point I have no choice but to spend an additional several thousand on a 8L90 trans to deal with the power, as the 8L45 that came with the car cannot handle the 390WHP I'm putting down now.

So realistically I'm talking near 10k to go from 390WHP to 550+WHP.

That's a third the cost for a Texas Speed destoked LS7 that makes 700+ HP all engine, with a mated automatic trans, and revs to an astonishing 8500RPM. Another 1300 more than my little 3.6L.

I have choices to make here.

At that price I'd scrap this idea. 10k for 150 hp would be ridiculous
