Katech 806 HP, NA, 427 LT. New Gen 5 NA Dyno Record

Katech is very proud to release the newest revision of our Gen 5 LT 427 Track Attack engine. Over the last year, our engineering team has been developing the newest standard of streetable, naturally aspirated power coming from the LT platform.

We were able to make 806 horsepower from this engine while retaining a full front drive, hydraulic roller lifters, and a similar header/intake setup that you could easily see in your car. This was done using the COPO Hi-Ram intake and E85. Did I mention this engine's rev limiter is also set at 7700 RPM?

This engine features our newest creation, the LTK cylinder heads. These heads are casted in the USA and fully machined by us. Some of the features can be seen below:

-2.200” Titanium Intake Valve.
-1.600" Inconel Exhaust Valve.
-Retains ability to use factory style rocker arms.
-Shifted Exhaust Port for improved flow and port dynamics.
-Canted Valve Angles for improved port design.
-Bronze CHE bronze valve guides, CHE intake seat (ductile iron), CHE exhaust seat (Bx) and valve job.
-Compatible with stock 4.065 bore.

We believe these heads will do great in forced induction applications. The PD blowers tend to do better on standard stroke engines. Personally if I were building a 427, it would use twins or a giant centri.

You really need to get one of your NA motors into a grand sport or ss 1le and let a high profile reviewer to do a review.

Slap one of those in a $55k new grand sport from kerbeck, market it as an $85k 800hp grand sport. Might be solid alternative to z06 shoppers. I realize it’s more realistically probably $100k with supporting mods. But if you keep it below $100k, I think there will be a lot of interest. I mean the small block kinda sucks for sports cars from a powerband perspective, and you fixed that.

I know I sure as shit would rather have a grand sport with that engine rather than a z06, or maybe even a zr1.

We are currently looking for people interested in this engine package. I agree that this would be a great alternative to the LT4 equipped vehicles.

Build one for the shop, put some review/advertising miles on it, sell it, take a $10-$15k hit on depreciation. Probably benefit the shop too and you can get more familiar with it on the street without worrying about a customers car.

Grand sports are only $55-56k new

Great alternative to an lt4? There’s an understatement
