From a Mustang to a Camaro and back
Quick summary: I had a 2015 Mustang GT that I traded for a 2016 Camaro SS which I traded for a ZL1 which I traded for an '18 Mustang GT.
On the Mustang S550 forum if I even mumble how much I enjoyed my Camaros and their handling and low end torque I get crucified by the same 3 or 4 members. Do these clowns come to this forum and troll? As I OWN a Mustang that is what I am accused of whenever I talk positive about the Camaros I've owned. Like jealous children, I guess. And no smart-azz comments about me changing cars like socks. |

Just curious, but why the change? And I haven't seen Mustang people coming over here.. I think most forum people tend to defend their purchases - especially if they are "brand whores".

What was wrong with ZL1 that you had to get rid of it?
It blows the mustang away in appearance alone.

You have to have some serious negative equity or just a ton of throw away cash to do what you did. And you traded in a new 60K+ ZL1 for a 18 Mustang? Wow.

@activepat would you like to... give me some money. i promise i'll use it on car parts. But in on honesty though, stick with one car dude. you downgraded to a 18 gt from a zl1. weird. have fun with it though. the zl1 is good at everything that you will be back in one lol.

I went from a Mustang to Camaro.. and I would maybe go back, or have both if I could..
but it's funny, both forums say the same kinda bullshit. Everyone over there hates on the Camaro, says the interior sucks, blah blah.. and everyone over here says Mustangs suck, interior sucks, blah blah.

I’m shocked you traded the ZL1 for GT .. but hey it’s your money your choice. Wish you the best ..
Zack- you can see from his previous post he indeed did buy a 2016 camaro in April / 2016 than traded in for ZL1 lol .. looks like he went from C6 GS Vette to Mustang GT, to SS , to ZL1 to GT |

I have no problem saying the good or the bad with any car on any forum. The truth hurts sometimes. Im a realist not a fanboy of any brand. In saying that you also have to be prepared for backlash from folks that cant take the idea that their whatever isnt perfect.
The thing that Im perplexed at is the OP's car buying decisions. Im guessing the ZL1 was biting off more than he could chew in the checkbook. There would be no other argument to move from that to a GT Mustang that anyone could possibly make that I would buy. Last edited by motorhead; 10-11-2018 at 05:30 AM. |

I had a 2015 GT and now 2018 SS. Both cars have their advantages and things you have to deal with. I absolutely hate they you can't really discuss any of this without every troll coming out of their cave how their car must be better than anything else.
Imho: Camaro: + Way more sportier, the magnetic ride is awesome and elminating nearly all bodyroll + More low-RPM punch + No castrated EU model + Heads up display + NPP is awesome + The leather feels premium + 20 Inch wheels + Vmax 290 km/h for Autobahn - Hard plastic dashboard - Not as great a daily driver through sportscar-like visibility/trunk - Lack of storage space in the interior 2015 Mustang GT: + Better visiblity + Better trunk opening + More headroom in backseats - Cheap plastic-feeling steering wheel - Bad body alignment, even on 18 models - Laughable quiet exhaust (fixed with 18 models with active exhaust, even though the EU 18 GTs are way more quite than EU SS with NPP) - You should invest in an aftermarket ride to fix bodyroll in corners and because it's not really feeling safe on Autobahn above 200 kp/h (maybe fixed with 18 models with magnetic ride) I have to add that US GTs have more power then the EU GTs so US models could feel better, Ford decided to reduce the power output on 15 and even 18 models to fit EU emission laws. Chevy just brought the US V8. Still planning on testdrive a 18 GT just to see how much they actually improved the driving. If I were looking for a daily driver I would maybe lean towards Mustangs, but for my purpose of having a great V8 sportscar for weekends and trips the Camaro is without a doubt the way to go with
