The force is strong with this one! So when you have to fart you pull an emergency lane change and jump out of the car so you can blow it out! lol

These cars have A LOT of rubber beneath them, and they hate driving across standing water.

After 14 months, I have about 44k miles on the car, and aside from some irritating brake noise, the car has been flawless. I bought a set of factory take-off wheels and tires shortly after buying the car, and in that span of time, I have been through 2 sets of OEM tires, and just put a set of Michelin PS4S on the car two months ago. I can already tell that the wear on the Michelins will be noticeably better than the Goodyears.

I am doing my own oil changes, and have been using Mobil 1 since 500 miles. I switched to the new oil spec on the last change, (OW-40 ESP) which roughly doubled my material costs for oil changes, but still worth doing myself.
That is a bunch of miles in a short time. I guess you would have ran across any issues by now.
Love the PS4S having used them since they came out.
How often do you change the oil? This car's oil changes easy to do?

I make sure the trips are short and no beans for food. Otherwise hold it or pull over.

I just drove it to work. It is 8.4 miles mostly all highway. No traffic, and the sun is shining in Grapevine.

Same here...lucky to jump in it one a week. My oil patch job has me on the road 300-400 miles a day & man is it nice to be able to jump in the z after living in a company truck.

Purchased March 17...5200 miles. First 1500 break in were done in about a month so I could romp it.

Daily my ZL1 when no rain, snow or salt on the roads. If you can swing the ZL1 note and additional maint costs such as tires, do it! The SS is quick, but the addition passing HP in the ZL1 makes the commute so much more enjoyable getting around the left lane hogs.

I bought mine new in March 2017. It had probably 80 miles on it. Changed the 1st oil at 1700 miles. I was driving it every day at first so I could break it fast. So I could break the tires loose and leave that nice black mark.

Last week I drove it out in the country roads I go to. It had been awhile. I was in third at 55 and stomped it while passing someone. It fishtailed back and forth 3 times before it was planted. I had forgotten how nice it was to feel the power.

Well, the driver is old, slow and not too bright. The car did fine and is well above my level of performance.

Mine is a DD....average about 17-18 mpg combo of City/minor highway... Got almost 24 MPG going to Detroit from Indy...

Just over the 13k mark...the only downside to being a DD is that you gotta clean it more :(
