Ok, Pre-Friday... ZL1 at Work

Let's see your ZL1 patiently waiting for you at work. She has her own private spot next the building where no other cars can touch her. When I just now took the picture, she was tapping her front tire saying, Let's Go!!!

Mine is covered in a luxurious cover, in her heated stable, with flat-stoppers under her feet waiting for a day that isn't salted and frigid. That may not be until May or June.

How much sitting time would you deem it a good idea to use flat-stoppers or at least move the vehicle some ?

I’ve never had a problem with the cars sitting. The one time I did was when my classic Z28 sat for 2-3 years on old tires on concrete (no flat stoppers) but I was replacing them anyways so no worries.

I’d say parked on thick foam or flat stoppers, it’d be fine for a couple years. Just take care of the other preventative storage steps. It’s better the car sits on its full weight as it was designed than the suspension hangs unloaded.

I have always wonder about the "hanging" instead of full weight. It makes sense that hanging would be better. But you are saying no and I believe you. What about partial lift, say relieving half the weight. Would that hurt it?

mine's been waiting since October. 16+ inches of snow coming at us this weekend, followed by wind chills of -20.

Ouch, but I love the Finger Lakes area. I was there in October 2017 for a week.

Does this look familiar...

How about patiently waiting for me to come home from work ?

Sorry, I have a very liberal neighbor and our garages face each other.
