This is a summer only vehicle. Is it overkill for a street car?

Well I was getting around 1500 miles per set of these tires with aggressive driving but NO track time. In any type of water on the ground situation these tires are DEADLY. I not necessarily taking about in the rain either because if you come across some water on the street these tires will flat put your car in the ditch.

Now the GY Super car NON-R version worked alot better for me even though I admit they dont have the DRY grip that the R tires do. i absolutely would NOT use the R rated GY supercars on a daily driver.

I'll add that they don't grip all that much harder than the standard SC3. You gain about .05 extra lateral G's, that isn't that much extra grip.

We are at a point in tire technology where we have reached close to the max grip we are going to get. Until the next level of tire tech. comes in, Active Aero is where more grip is going to be found.

As much as I love auto sports, the real high G stuff/fun is in aviation and flying aerobatics. However, it is also much more expensive, lol.

Not true. It's been proven numerous times on the track that the 3Rs drop laptimes significantly over the 3s. The 3Rs grip is almost on par with full slicks. However, they can cord in 1 track day vs 6+ for the 3s.
