A8 transmission fluid change

I was looking into changing my automatic transmission fluid again because it has started to shudder again and I recently did the fluid change at the dealer under warranty in June 2019. I was wondering if anyone has used Royal Purple Max ATF Dextron

So you had the latest fluid and flush procedure done, and it's now shuddering again?

Yes it is so I wanna try something other than Mobil 1 now

If the latest Mobil1 LV fluid (19417577) didn't help, chances are you need a new torque converter and not yet another different fluid.

I wanna try one more fluid swap but different brand and if it doesn’t work then last resort is gunna be torque converter

You still under warranty? If so I’d totally make them get the new tc.

Though I heard that they no longer replace them

No warranty’s been up for the last 6 months unfortunately but even when I was dealing with the issue then they made it clear they weren’t gunna replace that.

They will if you pay for it. I see no other way, you're out of warranty, and if the clutches are damaged, another fluid won't help.

The revised OEM TC costs about $3-400, which isn't horrendous (although at this point you may even want to go aftermarket, say, Circle D), the real issue is labor, not sure you want to support this seemingly unhelpful dealership.
