For those using a Proclip

Does the phone holder need to be really tight to keep your phone from falling while driving, or can I leave it loose enough to easily slide the phone in and out? I have it tight enough right now that I need to use two hands to put it in and take it out.

That would be too tight. Mine is adjusted so that the phone can easily settle into proper position under its own weight.

I have the dash mount. It’s loose enough so that the phone slides in and out pretty easily. The only way the phone will ever “fall” out is if my car is upside down.
You just need to adjust it a bit.

You’ve got it too tight. You just need to fine tune it, to make sure it’s not too loose.

can you share some pics of this one? I was on the fence about it, but ultimately decided for the other one due to possible permanent marking the dash.

I have the exact same concern. The destructions suggest levering open a join in the dash to insert the ProClip. Does that leave a mark?

My concern is more along the lines of once you mess with the factory seam on any of these dash parts you always seem to develop a squeak. You are spreading apart that seam to insert that clip (all be it just a little bit) but has anyone developed a squeak from doing so?

This is a pic looking straight down from above so you can see the seam where the mount attaches.
I've had it installed for over two years. No rattles or squeaks.

I’ve been think about getting that mount. I have the proclip that mounts on the bolster.

Your mount, does it interfere with your turn signal stalk?

It’s close, but no. It doesn’t get in the way of the turn signal stalk.

Sorry - pics got rotated posting from my phone.
