Pricing errors on new car options

Forgive me if this is already answered, but I remember coming across this topic and I believe someone (maybe @Becky) was gonna look into it, but I can't find the thread again to see the answer.

But the point is, some people have seen invoice errors, and I believe I have seen some of this on line too, where the window stick was double charging for options.

The best one I can remember off the top of my head is listing Red painted caliber brakes on a Camaro with the 1LE package. As part of the 1LE, it should already have the upgraded Red Brembo brakes, but some windows stickers show it as a separate option.

Thanks for posting that Midnight. That was the best example I could remember, but I never saw if it was resolved or not.

Looking at the description of the 1LE package on the window sticker is even calls out for Brembo performance brakes, "RED CALIPERS", but then has a seperate charge below that for "RED BRAKE CALIPERS" $395. I definitely would not be paying the extra $395. That doesn't come up when you use the Chevy builder either.

When I go the builder it allowed me to select red or orange calipers. This dealers has 4 1le like this, yours won’t be billed like that unless the dealer didn’t know any better and selected it.

So I guess this is just a combination of programming over-site that allows the conflict and dealer orders errors in not knowing how to order the vehicle correctly.

I'd rather take that answer than the dealer's knowingly add it to screw unsuspecting people out of another $400.

Yes a error, but if you don’t know any better than yes you will get screwed. This dealer sold one already wonder if the buyer knew any better
