How reset TCM (transmission control module) ?

As some of you may know, I have a 2021 Camaro 2.0 Turbo A8 just 11k miles

that out of nowhere started clunky/harsh 3 > 2 shift. Even though the car is almost new I have no warranty because it was imported to my country. I am alone in this.

I read that reprogramming or resetting the TCM can help to solve, how can I do this? The only option is to pay a fortune for the HP Tuners? I just want to reset to see if my transmission is back to normal.

I have not been doing well for a few months now and I am selling my stuff, and this just happens to me. I want to fix the fault to try to sell the car so I can stay alive. Thanks

Maybe disconnecting the negative battery cable from the battery and leave it disconnected for a few hours to reset the car’s computers would help.

Take it to a chevy dealer and have them perform a transmission re-learn.

You will have to order a j2534 pass thru device and sign up with GM's aftermarket Techline so that you can program the module. It's $45 USD for one vehicle, for 2 years. https://www.acdelcotds.com/subscriptions#
Be cautious of the device you buy, there are a lot of cheap Chinese knock-offs out there. The legit ones are fairly pricy at about $1500 USD.

This doesn't really sound like an option for you, so your best bet is to take it to a well established, independent shop that has the necessary equipment to do this, or sell it as is.

I can't think of a better option than these:

a) buy a scan tool that can set GM transmissions to relearn mode, here's an example: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B097R8Q122
b) if that simple "fix" doesn't help, bite the bullet and take a road trip to San Antonio or even Houston, TX, find a proper speed shop and get this thing fixed
c) optionally, longer term you can buy a HP Tuners MPVI3 device with credits and learn how to tune your car

Option a) is super useful as a bare minimum to those that have no easy access to service capability, because this means you're on your own and you can't fix anything without proper tools—expecting that nothing will ever go bad with a mass produced car is unrealistic.

I posted in the other thread but...

Try this because it may not be the transmission. Have your mechanic check for a loose axle nut. I had the same issue where it was clunking on downshifts and thought it was the transmission. Was just a loose axle nut clanging on certain downshifts.
