305 micky Thompson dr's on 20" rims hook pretty darn well even when it is 40deg out. they are good from mid 2nd gear up at 700+hp.

I am a high speed, late night highway pull and 1/2 mile or roll race guy. Those just don't have the stability at high speeds I want. Nor the handling the the 1LE is known for. We shall see what the R888R tires can do in cooler temps. They were awesome in my C5 FRC but as you stated that was would 750whp. But on the old R888 I never had tire spin at all. They hooked and went, fingers crossed

Swagger, would you trade "down" from a new SS to a 00 C5 FRC? I found one with low mileage for a little more than half what I paid for my SS. And I got a crazy deal on my car. Then again, these cars drive and handle unbelievable, so I'm betting that's a no.

That being said they are VERY different cars. My car had C6Z brakes and Pfadt Featherlights with their adjustable sways. Its the best handling car I had ever owned until this 1LE which is just as good stock suspension wise out of the box. For my money I would do another FRC for sure... Flared, 408 stroker LS2 block with 317 heads, cam and boost. Thats a seriously fast car |

I may go look at it Saturday. Sucks it's about an hour and a half away. The other struggle I have is finding cool wheels that aren't reps and not HRE money.

Nice, congrats on the car. You must be itching to get it on the road. I was in the same boat last year at this time and my excitement got the better of me....or, I should say tri-state area spring time potholes lol.
