I apologize for how my post came across, and I promise I didn't intend to sound so petulant. In hindsight, I was really asking whether or not the v8 was still worth it with 80,000 miles on it. (Yes the comma was misplaced.) I threw the Benz in there are somewhat as an after thought.

I paid 21K for my 2011 2SS with 24k miles on it. I would skip the 80k SS and look for a better deal.

Get the SS, like stated above I'd shop around a bit more. I paid 20k for my 2011 2SS/RS m6 car with 30k miles on it. I wasn't in need of a car, so time was on my side. I have had a 88 IROCz, 89 5.0 GT, 95 Z28, and 04 M3, and have to say I love my SS. It's almost as if they took the things I liked about all those other cars and put them into one car. Get an SS.

OP: Based on your comments and given the options you've posted, I'd go with the V6. However, I personally would keep looking ... find the newest, lowest mileage one you can that meets all your 'wish list' preferences (color, options, V8/V6, etc.).

Good luck in your search ...

You get used to the visibility pretty quick. The bonus is when I drive my wife's subaru outback or my grand cherokee it feels like I am driving a fish bowl.

I say this out of what I've seen happen multiple times on this forum, and not to be a dick:

If you get the V6, you'll be just like all the other guys who come on here whining about how they should have just gotten an SS in the first place, and how they're leaps and bounds happier with the extra two cylinders once they've decided to make the leap. Do yourself a favor, buying one car is much cheaper than buying two. The V6's are nice, but almost everyone I've run into just can't keep the itch away for the V8's

I actually have both. I have the V6 Camaro and it's a very capable track car, street car, show car, back and forth work car. I love it. sometimes I do wish I had the V, but in it's present state I don't regret it.
The Mercedes, hmmm...well have you driven one? It's a very capable car, we had to follow some in Lead/follow at MSR a few years ago. They are very quick. I actually have a C300, and like they say in the posts previous, god help you if you don't have the warranty. But I love driving it when I'm not driving the Camaro or my Harley.
Trips kick ass on the back roads.
To give you an example of maintence costs...
oil change......w/o the maint. plan.....$150....but they do more that just change the oil.
Service A....$1200, you get this on every so many miles, I forgot.
mine can use both premium and e85. and mine is an 09, with an ext warranty. parts are horribly expensive and the dealer hardly stocks anything, everything seems to come from overseas...ugh!
Anyway, aside from that it's a pretty good car. not too many problems, except something happened with my ignition system and would have cost me $1500, just to change out a module.
Get the SS......

Get the SS for sure. Not only is it a lot more car, but it will make you smile every time you apply that throttle. I think the other two will make you happy at first but will have regrets later as they just don't compare. Just my 2 cents

2010 2SS Camaro, 2012 2lt Camaro, or 2013 Mercedes c250

Why do folks complain about the price of premium fuel over regular? Lets just say the cost of 87 is $2.00 and 93 is $2.50. If you fill up once a week you are looking at about $8.00 more for premium. Over a year you will spend about $420 more over the cost off regular. That's less than most people spend at Starbucks. If $420 spread over a year is going to break you, then you shouldn't be looking at a SS. Sorry, rant over.

Sorry, had a typo. Meant to say the cost of 93 was $2.50. I fixed it in my original post.
