I assume they build them in "batches", i.e. they don't build an SS, then a ZLE, then a 1LT, etc.? They build all the ZL1's in that TPW at once, then the SS's, etc.?

I would assume that it would be automated to the point where it doesn't matter. The appropriate parts get lined up in the order that the cars go down the line. I would think that even within the different trim levels, there would be too many different combinations of options that it would be difficult to arrange them in batches of the same sets of options. I mean, after all it is all the same car, just with different combinations of parts. If you're working the bumper station, for example, then you just grab an SS bumper if it's an SS or grab an LT bumper if it's an LT.

Correct..

I've toured the plant - they build different models, trim, etc...
- A ZL1 can be behind a 2LT ..etc...
Even mix in Cadillac's - they are built in the same plant too.

I was curious how they produce the cars. About how many cars do they produce/day? Finally got up into the 50's today here in Texas.

Didn't think I'd say this but I kinda hope it doesn't get built this week. Things in life are moving a bit too fast right now so my fingers are crossed it's still at 3400 next week.
