the 1le should only be available in manual but oh well its 2019 who knows what will happen to performance cars!
dude stop with that stupid bullshit!! Iv'e driven manual since my first car but auto's now are simply faster & easier for an every day commute! I put 62K miles on my 5th gen 2SS 1LE and it was brutal every day in traffic! I can push an auto closer to the limit than a manual on the track

I would be all over a SS 1LE with an A10 like white on rice. I love my car and I thoroughly enjoy the manual transmission but, performance is what this car is about. Arguing about nostalgia and feel are moot points. Offer it in both transmissions and then everyone is happy. I don’t know anyone who has driven an A10 that has anything negative to say. To me, an A10 would have made this car perfect.

Racers would buy an automatic and swap the transmission if they wanted. If Chevy was keeping the 1LE true to the spirit they would offer it with radio and AC delete with radio being optional.
The current 1LE being manual(except for ZL1) has nothing to do with the heritage of the 1LE package. It's because they want the 1LE to be the purists car.

But yes, if the 1LE package was all about heritage of 1LE, it would be a stripper much like the 5th gen Z28 was.

I do hope they offer the 1LE with the A10.

I’m not sure what the issue is. I’m not buying the argument that the 1LE has always been a manual and should stay that way. That’s hogwash. If GM wants to sell more cars, and there isn’t some technical reason why it can’t be offered, they’d be foolish not to do it. I actually think they may not do it because it might take sales away from the ZL1.

I think they kept the 1le a manual knowing that the A8 wouldn’t hold up to the tracking that the car would be subjected to.

Well this confirms the rumored changes to the SS front bumper, time to or a 2020 1LE if you like it!

I've been seriously considering moving to a ZL1 to get the A10.
