For sure...

Question for you guys. Is a 5000 lb winch enough?

I almost want to swap this one out for something bigger.

5k seems small for a heavy car. It will have a lot of extra strain with the incline pulling it up on the trailer.

Kind of what I'm thinking. Guess I'll find out soon enough but they said it works great.

5k should be fine for the ZLE. If you wanted to hook it to a truck or SUV though, I'd go with a 7500.

Thanks... That's what they told me when I questioned it. I still think for an extra 80 or 100 this should have been offered. Either way with the mount in place it's an easy swap if I don't like it.

And the wireless remote is pretty sweet too.

Been raining so much down here I haven't been able to put the car on it yet.

This. I remember a guy on the 1st Gen sites that regularly tows (even other vehicles) with his first gen Camaro(specifically an old Apache or something similar he was buying to restore)Yeah, we all thought he was nuts but claimed he never had an issue.

I towed with my Tahoe which is even less capacity than my current 18 Silverado which pulls super nice. The weight of this trailer is under 1,500 lbs too. Towed it empty from Dallas to Houston and only lost 2 mpg.

I've had my eye's on a trailer for awhile now but I keep bouncing between an enclosed or a open trailer especially for piece of mind on longer trips.

Mike I really like your winch setup on your tilt and look for more feedback on if you need any additional ramps/shoring to clear your ZLE front splitter while loading and to see if you have to remove the winch with the car loaded and secured.

This is one that I looked at locally but it's a 18' Aluma 8218 tilt but I wonder if a 20' would be better.

It’ll be fine. You aren’t deadlifting the car. My 4500lb pulls the camaro up without any problems.
