The magneride tuning in the SS/1LE vs the GT350 is no contest. The Ford is sub-par. GM really knows how to build a chassis and do suspension. I don't know what Ford is playing at, frankly.

The GT is now not 'comfort' driving but handles really well if still a bit much on the front spring rate. But it cost $2000 in parts and another easy $1300 in labor to get it there.

I got the 1LE new for 16% off MSRP and aside from putting 19" wheels on and an engine tune from Unleashed Tuning to clean it up, is unmolested and drives so nice. The 1LE is a total bargain.

The upcoming Mach 1 with all of the GT350 coolers will *finally* be a head to head match up with the 1LE. But I expect it'll be an easy $4000 more than GM and yet STILL won't have fixed all the chassis and bushing warts. And the fixes don't make the car noisy which is the excuse de jour. Ford is just lazy and unimaginative. It's a Mustang for Pete's sake, not an Accord.
This.. and while better late than never and I personally like it a lot visually, it is a 2021 model car that is set to finally truly compare to a car that came out in 2017.

That and the Mach1 is a lot more than $4K more than an SS1LE. Especially real world pricing. More like $10K+

I'm with you i have an A10 18 GT PP and it flys for a stock car 11.81 119.3mph on pilot 4s down to the paper filter , typical cold start typewriter tick on cold start but once warm Quiet and its 7500 rpm where ever theres room to do it !!!! ...Just Picked up a 21 6 Speed LT1 with redline package Tech package and NPP exhaust very nice solid chassis good torque great exhaust note nice fit and finish But it seems to feel flat and boring through the upper rpms ..I thought it would be a lot faster than it is .I hope it gets Better with mileage ,is it me am i expecting to much out of a stock camaro LT1 ..But for the Payment its a nice daily driver !!

I mean, that's the tradeoff. LT1 has more low-end torque, but you run out of breath at the top sooner.

Personally, I prefer it. It's a muscly engine in a sports car chassis. Coyote is good, but IMO DOHC V8 fits better in a European or Japanese car.

Speaking of GT PP1, one of my friends picked up one like two months ago and he managed to rear-end one of my other friends' Civic Si. Luckily, no one is hurt and the damage is relatively minor. Still needed a few grand to get everything patched, though. The curse of Mustang strikes again...

The 5.0 "feels" faster but I bet if you ran them side by side the difference or lack there of might surprise you, even it being m6 vs a10 (assuming you can drive). I have both and when they were stock the 5.0 felt faster but wasn't, now after the procharger its a different story lol.

Got my LT1 6sp in Dec 2020 on an emotional whim due to insane lease deals, but I always liked the driving experience of the Mustang best, compared to Camaro and Challenger. Honestly they feel like 3 completely different cars.

Today I test drove a 2019 GT PP1 6mt, and I loved almost everything about it except the Recaro seats. Too stiff, and they sit up too high, felt like I was sitting on top of a box.

I agree with others the lighter clutch and shifter are nicer in everyday driving, which is important for me as I use my Camaro daily. For pure performance, the Camaro handles sharper and everything is more direct. But for my driving style, I like the deeper exhaust rumble and high revving nature of the Coyote V8.

Both are amazing cars and I refuse to shit on either one, its just more of a personal preference. If I ever decide to move on from the Camaro I would definitely get a manual GT with regular seats. PP1 is nice, but even the base would be fine for me.

Mustang's MT82 transmission was one of the deciding factors as to why I ended up in a Camaro. The auto is fine, but if you're going 6 speed, not taking that chance.

My Son & I test drove a 2020 Mustang before getting his 2020 Camaro.

It just felt & drove like an old car and they wanted way more for it than the Camaro.
No sale.
