Convertible top removal

Hey! Does anyone know how to remove the top, has any1 done that before? Well, I mean to take out the whole soft-top assembly with hinges, softtop, cover lid and motor

Hmm... wonder how much all of that weighs, including the electronic / and hydraulics.

Dreaming here, but it does sound like an awesome idea, in the most impractical, but fun way. Maybe add a nice custom roll bar.... a Z Cobra of sorts.

Repair reasons... also it would be helpful to know how it is possible to release pressure from the roof hydraulic pump so that I could operate it fully manually. There are about 5 bolts. Which one is the correct one?

Sorry I have no help, but I can say they replaced my top under warranty, did the multipoint inspection and full alignment in less than a day. So it must not be too hard.

This may get you started, but probably not too far. See also your PMs.
