What are these fees, are they negotiable despite dealership being a no haggle no hass

Doc fee$697.50
License fee$500.00
Elec filing fee$298.00
Battery fee$1.50
Fl tire fee$5.00
Mvwea fee$2.00

I know about the doc fee and title and license fee despite those fees being overpriced what are those other fees for? Audi Dealership said it’s a no hassle no haggle store but those fees are ridiculous and shouldn’t even be there. Is it still possible to negotiate it.

I avoided all fees by approaching the negotiation for an “out the door” prospective.

Determine fair purchase price, trade value, resulting taxes, tag fees, ... and determine what the out the door cost would be. Tell them your number and that you don’t care how they get there

EVERYTHING is negotiable but not everything is removable from paperwork

That looks like a new car quote, not used.

In Florida, the battery, tire and MVWEA (motor vehicle warranty enforcement act) lemon law taxes are legit for a new car, and for tax reasons on new car sales, the dealer must itemize that they charged the fees. If they don't itemize them, then they will charge you sales tax on them. Not something you want to do.

Government Requirements Exempt from Tax
Motor vehicle tag, title, registration, licensing, and lien recordation fees imposed by governmental agencies
are excluded from the taxable selling price (net selling price). The “Lemon Law,” $2 Motor Vehicle Warranty
Enforcement Act (MVWEA) fee on new motor vehicles is NOT subject to sales tax.
Doc fees are common in FL and typically cover the backoffice/FI team costs and state filing fees. The filing fee is the same as doc fee IMO so that's negotiable... $800 is too high.

The $500 License fee is bull$#!t.

You mentioned Audi dealer so the car must be used. On a used car, no the new car battery/tire/MVWEA fees do not apply unless that selling dealer actually installed a new battery and new tires (ask for receipts). MVWEA definitely does not apply on a used car. License fee is too high for a trade in if you are transferring the plate. Plate transfers do not carry the new car registration penalty (i.e. the "$225 putting a new car on the road tax"), only the tag transfer fee applies.

For vehicles, if you do not currently have a Florida license plate to transfer to this vehicle, you will pay a one-time $225.00 “new wheels on the road” fee, $2 per lien, plus registration fees depending on the weight of your vehicle—range is from $46.15 to $72.40.
They could state a fee as "dealer profit" or another literally as "bullsh!t excuse fee #48" on the paper and charge $4500 for it. Doesn't matter what the paperwork says as along as the check you write is the amount you want to pay. So no matter what they want to itemize their fees, you can negotiate the final ## to absorb them as HOTLAP suggests.

If they are no haggle, then their price is their price. Take it or leave it.

This is good advice. It makes your position crystal clear and makes you impervious to all the paperwork $$ gymnastics they like to do. But it still allows them to do the paperwork as they prefer to suit their business needs.

Thank you for the in-depth information on the fees. It's a used car with 15K miles and after taxes and those fees comes out to 39K which is just ridiculous
