2018 Camaro SS 1LE Availability in Canada

Just wondering if anyone knows if the 2018 1LE's are available to order in Canada?

Cheers,

Andrew

I placed my order for a 2018 1SS 1LE (Ontario as well) on June 3, but the dealer didn't have final information in print yet only what GM Canada had communicated to them. I'm not sure if they have this information yet or not, but I see no reason your local dealer wouldn't be able to do the same as mine.

Seen a red 1LE at a Chev dealer in cobourg. It was a 2018 and on the autoTRADER.

I tried reaching out to the dealership in coburg for the red one they had on their lot but it was already spoken for. I then placed an order at my local dealer around a month ago and I just found out that the order is still on hold because the dealership doesn't have allotment. Since they don't have allotment I would have to get lucky and have a dealer pass on their allotment in order for my order to be picked up. Getting any info at my dealer has been like pulling teeth but after waiting a month now without getting a target production week quoted they finally let me know that only 7% of total Camaro sales in Canada will be able to have the 1LE package. This works out to around 4 1LE's produced a week that would be reserved for the Canadian market. The dealer seems like they're stringing my along just to protect the sale.

Anyone know of any Dealers that actually have allotment in the Southern Ontario area? It seems like getting my hands on a 1LE is going to be a lot harder than I thought since the car is so rare in Canada. Its crazy to think that its easier to say get a Grand Sport Vette over a 1SS 1LE.

Any other info around the ordering a 2018 1SS 1LE would definitely be apprecaited!

Hang in there Andrew. I am sure a dealer must have an allocation somewhere. Heck, my small town dealer got me a 17 1LE and it only took about 7 weeks from placing the order to delivery.
I had no idea a 1LE was so rare. I have been actually tempted to put mine up for sale as I've gotten the "Vette" bug. I still haven't seen a 1LE in the wild here in the GTA.

Did you order yours at the start of the model year or near the end? I assume sales would slow down once we get into the cooler months so it might just be that I'll have to take delivery in the winter which would suck

Plenty of leftover '17's here in the states. Deal time!

Thought about that but would probably cost me a lot more getting it imported along with the exchange rate. Canada gets the short end of the stick for allotment

Ya makes sense. Ordering during the winter I'd assume the turn around would be pretty quick. Thanks for the info!

Their dealer had a few 2017 allotted and that's where I found mine. The are in Mississauga.
Also check Wilson Niblet. Huge Vette dealer they may have allotments also. Note Camaros cost LESS at home vs USA when u adjust for FX. Besides you can NOT import a new car from the States. GL shopping! BTW is it an amazing car especially is you intend on tracking it. A tremendous performance value. A cross of Stingray and Z06 wit 2 extra seats. Seriously. For half the price.
