TSB #19-NA-020 New AC Delco oil filter
I went to buy a new oil filter online and when I found the one listed in the Owner's Manual, PF63E, pretty much every site now shows this filter is not compatible with my vehicle (2018 LGX). I did a bit more digging and ran across the TSB in the title on the Champ filters site. Scroll down to the bottom to view the TSB.
The short version is the PF63E has been replaced with UPF63R, assuming you want to go with the OEM recommendation of AC Delco. Amazon et al still shows the UPF63R isn't compatible with my car, but it's the one that comes up on the AC Delco site. https://parts-catalog.acdelco.com/ca...log_search.php Seems to be more expensive than the PF63E. Best deal I've found so far is 2 for $21 shipped at RockAuto. Apologies if this has been posted before. I did a search here and found nothing. Maybe should have posted in the Maintenance or TSB forums, but seems to be specific to just the LGX as far as I can tell. |

Thanks for that info. From my research (specifically for the LT1), the PF63E filter has the same pressure relief valve pressure spec as PF64 (for the LT1), so the UPF63R might be an alternative for the LT1 as well for those looking for a longer version of PF64.

Same for I4 they are using the new oil filter something with it maintaining oil pressure better was the excuse I heard.
